Speak The Name Of Jesus

Acts 2:41

41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

Pentecost did not end with an emotional experience in an upper room. It moved into the streets. Into conversations. Into proclamation. The disciples spoke boldly about Jesus Christ, and the result was that three thousand people were saved in one day. That is the extraordinary effect of Spirit-filled lives. One of the greatest struggles in the modern church is silence. We have allowed fear, culture, politics, criticism, and intimidation to quiet our witness. Yet Pentecost reminds us that the Spirit was given so believers would boldly proclaim Christ to the world. The early church did not change the world because they had perfect buildings, polished programs, or cultural influence. They changed the world because ordinary believers were filled with the Holy Spirit and unashamed to speak about Jesus. And that mission has not changed. You may not preach behind a pulpit, but you have a mission field. Your workplace. Your neighborhood. Your family. Your school. Your community. Everywhere you go is an opportunity to speak about the Savior who changed your life. So stop waiting until you feel qualified. Stop believing the lie that God cannot use you. Pray each morning, “Lord, fill me today and help me speak the name of Jesus boldly.” Because Spirit-filled believers do not stay silent.

Prayer

Lord, fill me with boldness to speak about Jesus Christ. Use my life to point others to the Gospel, and help me never be ashamed of Your name. Amen.

Return again tomorrow.

The Spirit Points To Jesus

Acts 2:11

One of the clearest truths in the Pentecost story is this: the Holy Spirit always magnifies Jesus Christ. The people gathered in Jerusalem heard the disciples “speaking of the mighty deeds of God.” The Spirit did not com...

God Uses Ordinary People

Acts 2:4

One of the most encouraging truths about Pentecost is that God did not choose polished professionals to change the world. He chose ordinary people. Fishermen. Tax collectors. Common men and women who had weaknesses, fear...

The Spirit Dwells Within You

1 Corinthians 6:19

Pentecost was more than an event—it was a transition unlike anything the world had ever seen. In the Old Testament, God’s presence dwelled in the tabernacle. Later, His glory filled the temple. Then God walked among huma...

Live Like You Are Not Alone

John 14:18

Jesus makes a promise that brings everything together—“I will not leave you as orphans.” That is not just about presence; it is about identity. An orphan has no security, no protection, no sense of belonging. But in Chri...

God Is Closer Than You Think

John 14:17

One of the most incredible shifts that takes place in the New Testament is the change from God dwelling among His people to God dwelling within His people. In the Old Testament, the presence of God was associated with th...

Help Has Been Given

John 14:16

One of the most powerful truths in this passage is that Jesus does not simply acknowledge our need—He provides the answer. He says that the Father will give “another Helper.” That word “another” is important. It means an...

You Are Not Alone

John 14:16-18

There are moments in life when the weight of what we are facing feels almost unbearable. It is not always something you can measure or explain, but you feel it in your heart, in your thoughts, in your emotions. It is the...

Draw Closer To The Source

John 15:5

If there is one clear takeaway from this truth, it is this: you must stay connected to the source. Jesus said, “Apart from Me, you can do nothing.” Not a little. Not some things. Nothing. That means every attempt to live...

God Works Through The Weak

2 Corinthians 12:9

One of the greatest misconceptions in the Christian life is that God is looking for strong, capable, self-sufficient people. We think that if we can just get our lives together, if we can become more disciplined, more co...

Why You Still Struggle

Galatians 5:16

The Power Has Already Been Given

Ezekiel 36:27

The Power You Cannot Live Without

Luke 24:49

There is a dangerous assumption many believers live with, and it is this: that we can live the Christian life in our own strength. We may not say it out loud, but our lives often reflect it. We try harder, we do better, ...
