The Power Has Already Been Given

Ezekiel 36:27

And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

Reflection

One of the most freeing truths in the Christian life is this: the power you need has already been provided. Too many believers are living as if they are waiting for something they already have. They are asking God for strength, for help, for power, not realizing that through the new birth, the Holy Spirit already dwells within them. Jesus said He was sending the promise of the Father, and that promise was fulfilled. When you came to Christ, you were not given a partial measure of the Spirit. You were not placed on a waiting list for power. You were fully indwelt by the Spirit of God. The issue is not whether the power is available—the issue is whether we are living in surrender to it. We often fall into the trap of thinking we need more of God, when in reality, the question is whether God has more of us. Are we yielded? Are we surrendered? Are we allowing the Spirit to lead, guide, and shape our lives? So instead of striving for something new, begin to walk in what has already been given. Stop living as though you are powerless when the very power of God resides within you. Yield your life to Him, and watch how He begins to work through you in ways you could never accomplish on your own.

Prayer

Father, thank You for placing Your Spirit within me. Help me to surrender fully so that Your power can be at work in my life. Teach me to walk in what You have already given. Amen.
